Product Information

The Draper Tools Expert Ratchet Crimping Tool and Terminal Kit offers expert - level quality. It's crafted from carbon steel with hardened and tempered jaws. The tool ensures accurate crimps with continuous crimping at a preset tension. It has a chemically blacked finish and comfortable PVC grips. This tool is perfect for crimping insulated terminals. The red channel is for 0.5 - 1.00mm², the blue for 1.5 - 2.5mm², and the yellow for 4.0 - 6.0mm². It comes with about 590 mixed pre - insulated terminals stored in a steel case with an insert.

Using this Draper Tools crimping tool is easy. First, select the right terminal for your wire size from the included pre - insulated terminals. Then, place the wire and terminal in the appropriate channel of the tool according to the wire's cross - sectional area (red for 0.5 - 1.00mm², blue for 1.5 - 2.5mm², and yellow for 4.0 - 6.0mm²). Squeeze the tool until the ratchet releases, ensuring a secure crimp. When it comes to maintenance, keep the tool clean and dry. After use, wipe it down to remove any debris. You can also apply a light coat of oil to the moving parts occasionally to keep them working smoothly. As for safety, always wear appropriate eye protection when using the tool. Don't try to crimp materials that are larger than the specified wire sizes, as it could damage the tool or cause an unsafe crimp.
