Using this cable is a breeze. First, locate the 4-pin fan headers on your motherboard. Then, plug one end of the Y-cable into a 4-pin header. Next, connect your 3-pin or 4-pin fans to the other ends of the Y-cable. Remember, if you want PWM control, use 4-pin fans. When handling the cable, avoid pulling it too hard to prevent damage.
