Are you in Australia and looking to buy a top - notch flight controller? The FETtec FC G4 - N v1.7 is here for you. The 'N' version means it has no onboard analog OSD, but digital OSDs work just fine. You can also connect it to a FETtec OSD board for analogue systems.
This flight controller comes with a latest STM32G473 processor running at 180Mhz with a math accelerator and a Gyro IIM - 42652 SPI. It's designed for a 6 - 27V supply voltage (2S - 6S Lipo) and has 2x onboard BEC (2A each), one for RX at 5V and a configurable 5V/16V BEC for VTX.
It features improved IO protection, protecting all microcontroller IOs from voltage or current peaks. There are multiple connectors for easy solderless connections to ESCs, VTX, camera, and digital systems. It has 5 UART serials with some free for your customization.
Supported ESC protocols include PWM, Oneshot125, Oneshot42, Dshot150/300/600/1200/2400, and FETtec Onewire. It uses FETtec Alpha FC firmware (KISS FC firmware is flashable) and has JST - SH - 1mm connectors.
The dimensions are great too. The maximum external size is 37.2 x 37.2mm, and without fastening straps, it's 30 x 30mm. The mounting holes are arranged in 20 x 20mm (M2, upgradable to M3) and 30 x 30mm (M3), with removable tabs to reduce size. It's 7.9mm high and weighs only 5.37g.
What's in the box? You'll get 1x FETtec FC G4 - N v1.7, 1x open 8 - pin cable, 1x open 6 - pin cable, and 1x open 4 - pin cable, all with JST connectors on one side. You can also download the FETtec FC G4 - N v1.7 manual. Browse more FETtec, KISS, and general flight controllers now!

Using the FETtec FC G4 - N v1.7 flight controller is a breeze. First, make sure your power supply is within the 6 - 27V range (2S - 6S Lipo). Connect your receiver to the appropriate 4 - pin connector. For ESCs, use the 2x 8 - pin connectors or the solder pads at the corners. Connect your VTX, camera, and OSD of digital systems to the 8 - pin connector.
When it comes to the serials, you have 5 UART serials. UART 2 is occupied by the receiver, and UART 5 is for ESCs, TLM, or Onewire. The others are free for your use.
Note that this version has no onboard analog OSD. If you need an analog OSD, you can either choose the FETtec FC G4 v1.7 version or connect a FETtec OSD board.
For maintenance, keep it in a dry and clean place. Avoid exposing it to high - voltage or high - current situations as the IO protection can only handle so much. If you want to flash the firmware, you can use the FETtec Alpha FC firmware or the KISS FC firmware as long as you follow the proper procedures.
