Product Information

Are you in Australia and searching for high - quality M3x4.6x4 threaded inserts? These inserts are tailor - made for the Rat Rig Build. You'll need about 45 pieces for the EVA Toolhead. They're part of the ratrig kits we sell, so buy this pack only if you need extras. Instead of gluing or screwing plastic screws into 3D prints, opt for these strong and reusable machine screws with heat - set inserts. They cost just a few cents each, have a grooved exterior and internal threads. Originally for injection - molded parts, they work great for 3D - printed plastic too. You can use a regular soldering iron to heat - press them in. Heat the iron, press the insert in, wait for it to cool, and then use it like a hex nut inside the plastic. This pack contains 50 M3 - threaded inserts that are 4mm long with a 5mm outer diameter. Dimensions: OD 5mm, ID M3 thread, Length 4mm. Browse all Fasteners, Voron Parts and Accessories, and 3D Printer parts and Accessories.

Using these heatset inserts is easy. First, get a plain soldering iron and heat it up. Then, use the hot iron to press the insert into your 3D - printed plastic. Wait for it to cool down, and it'll be firmly in place, just like a hex nut embedded inside. When you're working on your Rat Rig EVA Toolhead, remember you'll need around 45 pieces. So, make sure you have enough. As for maintenance, these inserts are pretty durable. But if you notice any signs of wear or damage, it's a good idea to replace them. And since they're reusable, you can take them out carefully if you need to make changes to your 3D - printed part. Just be gentle when removing them to avoid damaging the plastic.
