Product Information

The Matek Slim H7A3 Flight Controller is a high - end solution for flight control needs. It comes with a powerful STM32H7A3RIT6 MCU running at 280MHz, 1.4MB RAM, and 2MB Flash. The ICM42688P IMU, SPL06 - 001 barometer, and AT7456E OSD ensure accurate flight data. With a 128MB Flash blackbox, it can record detailed flight information. It features 6 Uarts with built - in inversion, 11 PWM outputs, 1 I2C, and 1 CAN interface. There are 4 ADCs for monitoring battery and current. It has 3 LEDs to show FC status and a 3.3V indicator. The USB Type - C (USB2.0) provides easy connection. It offers 8 PWM outputs on 2 JST - SH1.0_8pin connectors for 2x 4in1 ESC and a JST - GH1.25_4pin connector. The 9V output can be switched on/off. Any spare UART can support digital video OSD. In terms of power, it accepts 6 - 36V (2 - 8S LiPo) input. It has BECs providing 5V 2A (Max.3A) and 9V 2A (Max.3A), and an LDO 3.3V with a max output of 200mA. There's no built - in current sensor, and the ADC VB2 pad can handle up to 69V. The FC firmware supports ArduPilot MATEKH7A3 (4.6 or newer), with links to ArduPlane and ArduCopter firmware. It can be flashed using STM32CubeProgrammer. Physically, it has a 30.5 x 30.5mm mounting with Φ4mm holes and Φ3mm grommets, dimensions of 36 x 36 x 5 mm, and weighs only 7g. A 3D step file (H7A3 - SLIM_step.zip) is also available. The package includes 1 H7A3 - SLIM, 6 silicon grommets M4 to M3, 2 JST - SH1.0_8pin cables (5cm) with 8pin connectors, and 1 JST - GH - 4P to JST - GH - 4P cable (20cm) for the CAN port.

Using the Matek Slim H7A3 Flight Controller is easy. First, connect your power source, making sure the voltage is within the 6 - 36V (2 - 8S LiPo) range. You can use the USB Type - C port to connect it to your computer for firmware updates. To flash the firmware, use the STM32CubeProgrammer and follow the instructions on the ArduPilot website for the appropriate version. When connecting your ESCs, use the JST - SH1.0_8pin connectors for a secure connection. For the CAN port, use the provided JST - GH - 4P to JST - GH - 4P cable. Keep in mind that there's no built - in current sensor, so if you need current monitoring, you'll have to use an external one. When mounting the controller, use the provided silicon grommets to reduce vibration. Make sure to handle the controller gently as it's lightweight and can be easily damaged. For maintenance, keep it clean and dry. If you're not using it for a long time, store it in a cool, dry place. Check the cables and connectors regularly for any signs of wear and tear.
