Bambu PLA Silk offers a luxurious, silk - like appearance with ultra - high gloss to your 3D prints, turning ordinary models into stunning art. Unlike other silk filaments, it's toughened, providing greater resistance to breakage during AMS printing. This filament is perfect for decorations, artistic projects, and 3D character models where you desire a shinier finish. The gloss of the printed model can be controlled by adjusting the printing temperature and speed. Higher temperatures and lower speeds result in glossier finishes. All printing parameters are embedded in RFID, allowing for easy reading through the AMS (Automatic Material System), eliminating tedious setting steps. For best results, it's recommended to use compatible accessories like Cool Plate, High Temperature Plate or Textured PEI Plate as the build plate, and a hotend with a 0.4 mm Hardened Steel Nozzle or a 0.2 mm/0.4 mm Stainless Steel Nozzle. The recommended printing settings include pre - drying at 55 °C for 8 h, keeping the container's humidity below 20% RH, a nozzle temperature of 210 - 240 °C, a bed temperature of 35 - 45 °C with PVP glue, and a printing speed below 250 mm/s. Physically, it has a density of 1.32 g/cm³, a Vicar Softening Temperature of 56 °C, and other defined properties. Mechanically, it shows a tensile strength of 35 ± 3 MPa and more. Each package includes 1x Filament & Desiccant and 1x Filament Label.










Using Bambu Lab PLA Silk Filament is easy. First, make sure to dry the filament before printing at 55 °C for 8 hours. This helps you get better printing quality and avoid strings or material leakage. You can refer to the Filament drying cover on WIKI for more details. When it comes to printing, keep the container's humidity below 20% RH by sealing it with a desiccant. Set the nozzle temperature between 210 - 240 °C and the bed temperature at 35 - 45 °C if you're using PVP glue. And don't print too fast; keep the speed below 250 mm/s. As for accessories, use Cool Plate, High Temperature Plate or Textured PEI Plate as the build plate, and a hotend with a 0.4 mm Hardened Steel Nozzle or a 0.2 mm/0.4 mm Stainless Steel Nozzle. Avoid using an Engineering Plate as the build plate and a 0.6 mm/0.8 mm Hardened Steel Nozzle hotend. You can use liquid glue or a glue stick to help with adhesion. To maintain the filament, store it in a dry place with low humidity. If you want a glossier finish on your prints, try higher printing temperatures and lower speeds.
