Product Information

Are you in Australia and looking to buy a Matek F405-HDTE Flight Controller? Note that with INAV firmware, DSHOT won't work on S3, S5, S7 due to DMA clash. Use ONESHOT or MULTISHOT and calibrate ESC PWM range. This flight controller offers great features. The STM32F405 has 1MB flash to run ArduPilot, INAV, or BetaFlight. It uses the InvenSense 3rd generation IMU ICM42688-P. It has a 9 - 60V (3 - 12S LiPo) wide input voltage with voltage sense and a 9 - 16V BEC for DJI OSD or analog VTX. In INAV/BF multirotor mixer, it supports 8 motors + 3 servos. There are 2x SH1.0_8pin connectors for PnP with 2x 4in1 ESC and 1x SH1.0_6pin connector for PnP with HD System (Caddx Vista & Air Unit). It also has a USB pin breakout for external USB adapter connection. Specifications include MCU STM32F405RGT6, IMU ICM42688 - P, OSD AT7456E and DJI OSD, Baro SPL06 - 001 (I2C), 16M - byte Flash memory for blackbox, 6x UARTs, 1x Softserial_Tx option, 12x PWM outputs (8x Dshot), 1x I2C, 4x ADC (VBAT, Current, RSSI, Airspeed), 2x PINIO, 2x SH1.0_8pin connectors for 4in1 ESC, 1x SH1.0_6pin connector for HD System, and 3x LEDs for FC status and 3.3V indicator. It has a 9 - 16V (Vxs) output ON/OFF switchable and dual analog camera signal switchable. Power details are input 9 - 60V (3 - 12S LiPo), BEC 5V 1.5A, BEC Vx 9 - 16V/1 - 2A, battery voltage sensor 1K:20K, and no built - in current sensor but supports external ones. Firmware options are ArduPilot MatekF405 - TE, INAV MATEKF405TE, and BetaFlight MATEKF405TE. Physically, it has a 30.5 x 30.5mm mounting with Φ4mm holes and Grommets Φ3mm, dimensions of 36 x 36 x 5 mm, and weighs 7g. It comes with 1x FC F405 - HDTE, 6x Silicon grommets M4 to M3, 1x SH1.0_8pin cable 5cm and 2x SH1.0_8pin connectors, 1x SH1.0_6pin to GH1.25_8pin cable 8cm for HD System.

Using the Matek F405 - HDTE Flight Controller is quite straightforward. First, connect it to your drone according to the pin - out and connection guides. When powering it up, make sure your battery voltage is within the 9 - 60V (3 - 12S LiPo) range. If you're using INAV firmware, remember that DSHOT won't work on S3, S5, S7, so switch to ONESHOT or MULTISHOT and calibrate the ESC PWM range. For different firmware like ArduPilot, INAV, or BetaFlight, just follow the installation instructions provided. When it comes to maintenance, keep it clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or physical shocks. Check the connectors regularly to make sure they're firmly attached. If you're using external sensors, ensure they're properly connected and calibrated. If you face any issues, refer to the official documentation or seek help from the community.
