Product Information

Are you in Australia and looking to purchase 16AWG silicone heat-proof wire? You can select the right thickness according to your needs, and all prices are per meter. As a reference, here's the max burst current for each thickness. The ones in bold are our stocked items. 12AWG Wire - 160A (only available in XT60 Pigtail), 14AWG Wire - 120A, 16AWG Wire - 80A, 18AWG Wire - 45A, 20AWG Wire - 27A, 22AWG Wire - 17A, 26AWG Wire - Signals Only, 28AWG Wire - Signals only. 12 AWG is for XT60 pigtail in high-performance 5″ racing quads. 14 AWG is for XT60 pigtail in medium-power 5″ racing quads. 16 AWG is for XT30 and XT60 pigtail with low power up to 80A burst. 18 AWG is for XT30, ESC power, and motor wire extension up to 45A burst. 20 AWG is for motor wire extension. Connectors also have current limitations, just like wires. You should choose carefully based on the application to avoid it becoming the “bottleneck” of your system. Here are the guidelines for continuous and burst current: JST connector – 5A (10A), 2mm bullet connectors – 20A (40A), XT30 – 30A (60A), XT60 connectors – 60A (120A). Our stocked wire has these great properties: it's silicon and flexible, heat-proof (with a maximum rating of 200 degrees except for signal wires), and has a tinned copper structure. Browse more cables and connectors or drone connectors.

Using this wire is easy. First, pick the right thickness based on the current needs of your device. For example, if you have a high - performance 5″ racing quad, 12 AWG might be a good choice. When connecting the wire, make sure to match it with the appropriate connector according to the current requirements. For instance, use XT60 connectors for higher - current applications. Keep in mind that connectors have current limitations too, so choose them carefully. As for maintenance, store the wire in a cool and dry place. Avoid bending it sharply or exposing it to extreme heat above its 200 - degree maximum rating (except for signal wires). If you notice any signs of wear or damage, replace the wire to ensure safe and efficient operation.
