Product Information

Race Wire is an outstanding upgrade for your racing or freestyle quad. It replaces a part of your motor wires under the propeller tips, making your quad resistant to prop strike damage. In case a prop bends during a crash, its tip will deflect off the Race Wire board, usually just scuffing the surface. After installing Race Wire, you can swap motors quickly without opening your quad to reach the 4in1 ESC or AIO board. It also offers a flat surface for mounting top - facing LEDs. This wire is designed with a 2oz 2 - layer copper board. In terms of resistance and weight, it's nearly the same as our “standard” 20AWG motor wire. Specifications: 2oz 2 - layer copper board, 40 x 8 x 0.8mm, and it comes in a set of 6 individual boards. Remember, isolation between the carbon and the board is still required.

Using the Race Wire is easy. First, identify the section of the motor wires under the propeller tips that you need to replace. Then, carefully install the Race Wire in place of that section. When swapping motors, you don't have to open up your quad to access the 4in1 ESC or AIO board. Just work with the Race Wire. If you want to mount top - facing LEDs, use the flat surface on the Race Wire. As for maintenance, regularly check the surface of the Race Wire for any signs of excessive scuffing or damage. If you notice a prop has hit the board hard, inspect it closely. Also, always make sure to keep the isolation between the carbon and the board as required. This will help ensure the long - term performance of your quad.
