Product Information

The Jigs Up is a remarkable soldering tool. It can quickly and securely hold and release various RC connectors such as XT30, XT60, XT90, Deans T and mini T connectors, Traxxas, Multiplex 6 - pin connector, Deans Micro 2 - pin, 3 - pin & 4 - pin connectors, and almost any size bullet connector used in RC applications. When you buy it, you'll get a helping hand and alligator clips. The alligator clips fit tightly into the back holes of the jig. The top holes of the jig can hold 3.5mm, 4mm, 5mm, 5.5mm, 6mm, 6.5mm, and 8mm bullet connectors. The 'v' slots on the front are for 2mm bullet connectors and Traxxas connector pins. The right - side slot is for XT60, Traxxas, Multiplex 6 - pin, and Deans T connectors, while the left - side slot is for Deans 2 - pin, 3 - pin, and 4 - pin micro connectors. There's a video on the website showing soldering of a Deans T Connector, a 3.5mm bullet connector, and a 2mm bullet connector. Remember, start with a hot soldering iron. Tin the wire and connector pin with plenty of solder, place the wire on the pin, and use the hot soldering tip to melt the solder. Remove the tip and hold the wire for a few seconds until the solder cools for a great connection. The Jigs Up can also be placed on the wire when tinning.

Using The Jigs Up is easy. First, make sure your soldering iron is hot. You'll find that this jig comes with a helping hand and alligator clips. The alligator clips fit tightly into the back holes of the jig. Different types of connectors have their own dedicated slots. For example, use the top holes for 3.5mm - 8mm bullet connectors, the 'v' slots on the front for 2mm bullet connectors and Traxxas pins, the right - side slot for XT60, Traxxas, Multiplex 6 - pin, and Deans T connectors, and the left - side slot for Deans 2 - pin, 3 - pin, and 4 - pin micro connectors. When soldering, we recommend tinning both the wire and the connector pin with a good amount of solder. Place the wire on the pin and use the hot soldering tip to melt the solder. After that, remove the tip and hold the wire in place for a few seconds until the solder cools. You can even place The Jigs Up on the wire while tinning it. As for maintenance, keep it clean and dry. Avoid dropping it to prevent any damage to the slots and holes.
