Product Information

Are you in Australia and looking to buy Prusa Prusament PCCF Carbon Fibre Blend Filament? If it's sold out, check out an alternative here. Prusament PC Blend Carbon Fiber (PCCF) is a PC blend filled with carbon fibers. This makes it stronger, tougher, and more temperature-resistant than the unmodified PC blend. It has great dimensional stability, good resistance to UV light and common chemicals, better tensile strength, and high-temperature resistance. We now accept preorders for Prusament if it's in stock at Prusa HQ. If you preorder one item, your whole shipment will be delayed until the preorder arrives. The estimated time of arrival for preorders is 9 - 14 days from the order date. Prusa Research manufactures this filament in-house. Dissatisfied with market filament quality, they decided to make their own. It's the only 3D printer manufacturer with its own filament production. The manufacturing process is strictly monitored and tested for string diameter, color consistency, and mechanical properties to ensure every spool is perfect. We guarantee a manufacturing precision of ± 0.04 mm because we believe the industry standard of 0.05 mm isn't good enough for perfect 3D printing. Our filaments also have highly consistent colors. PCCF has similar printing qualities to unmodified PC blend, but the carbon fibers make it even better. It hardly warps, has a nice matte surface, and is slightly lighter. The carbon fibers are recycled from manufacturing waste or used carbon composites. PCCF is perfect for printing mechanical parts and heat-stressed components, like gears and machine parts that need to withstand over 100°C. You can print large models without a heated enclosure. For print preparation, use a hardened steel nozzle as carbon fibers can damage a brass nozzle. A powder-coated or satin TXT sheet provides good adhesion. Clean it with IPA or warm water and a bit of dish cleaner. Don't print on a smooth PEI sheet as PCCF adheres too well and may damage it. If you need a smooth surface, spread a thin layer of paper glue stick. Using a glue stick on the satin sheet can prevent wear. The printing setup requires a nozzle temperature of 285 ± 10 °C and a heatbed temperature of 110 ± 10 °C. Prusament PC Blend Carbon Fiber Black is made in-house by Prusa Research, and the 1.75 mm filament has a precision of ± 0.04 mm. Browse more filaments and 3D printing supplies on our site.

Using the Prusa Prusament PCCF Carbon Fibre Blend Filament is easy. First, make sure you have a hardened steel nozzle as the carbon fibers in the filament are abrasive and can damage a brass nozzle. For the printing surface, a powder-coated or satin TXT sheet works well. Clean it with IPA or warm water and a few drops of dish cleaner. Avoid using a smooth PEI sheet as the filament adheres too strongly and may cause damage. If you need a smooth surface, apply a thin layer of paper glue stick. When printing, set the nozzle temperature to 285 ± 10 °C and the heatbed temperature to 110 ± 10 °C. Keep in mind that if you preorder this filament and it's in stock at Prusa HQ, your whole shipment will be delayed until the preorder arrives. The estimated arrival time for preorders is 9 - 14 days from the order date. To maintain the quality of the filament, store it in a cool, dry place. This will help keep its mechanical properties and ensure consistent printing results. Also, if you often print on the satin sheet, using a glue stick can prevent surface wear.
