Are you in Australia looking to buy Capricorn Bowden Tubing? If it's sold out, check out our alternative bowden tube. Your extruder system has limited pushing force. You want most of this force to create pressure in the HotEnd, which is crucial for extruding molten filament in 3D printing. But the friction when the filament slides from the drive to the HotEnd wastes some force. Using a complex system makes the filament's path longer and more winding, increasing friction losses. Standard PTFE can reduce this, but not eliminate it. Another issue in extrusion systems is filament compression or buckling. When you apply pressure to extrude the filament, it bends a bit between the extruder drive wheel and the HotEnd melt zone. This spring - like behavior means that advancing the filament 1mm at the drive wheels doesn't immediately result in 1mm of filament exiting the nozzle. In a long - path system, this 'filament - spring' is softer, leading to greater errors and longer delays in reflecting motor speed changes at the nozzle. Capricorn XS tubing solves both problems. It's made of pure PTFE with a special friction - reducing additive. It has a highly precise internal diameter, tightly constraining the filament between the extruder and the HotEnd. Note: You'll get it in a single length. Ordering 1 QTY gives you a 100mm length, and 2 QTY gives you a 200mm length. Key Features: Inner diameter of 1.9mm, outer diameter of 4mm, highly consistent and perfectly round, treated with a unique friction - reducing additive, Capricorn™ XS branded quality, perfect for softer and flexible filaments, and for use with 1.75mm filament only. Using the Capricorn Bowden Tubing is easy. First, make sure your 3D printer is designed for 1.75mm filament as this tubing is only for that size. Then, carefully install the tubing between the filament drive and the HotEnd of your printer. The highly precise internal diameter helps keep the filament in place. When handling, be gentle as the tubing is made of PTFE, which can be damaged if bent too sharply. As for maintenance, keep it clean from dust and debris. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe it occasionally. If you notice any signs of wear or reduced performance, it might be time to replace the tubing. Remember, ordering 1 quantity gives you a 100mm length and 2 quantities give you a 200mm length, so order according to your needs.
