Are you in Australia looking to buy a FETtec Spike Absorber? You're in the right place! Check out our full FETtec product range here, including the FETtec Kiss FC and other drone ESCs. The FETtec Spike Absorber is a must - have for your electrical power systems. It features well - selected TVS diodes that quickly absorb dangerous voltage spikes, protecting your connected components. Designed to work with an electrolytic capacitor that can be directly mounted on it, this absorber has a maximum operating voltage of 25.2V (6S LiPo) and weighs just 1.62g. In electrical systems with brushless motors, ESCs, and LiPo batteries, high current and voltage peaks are common. While capacitors are good at handling normal voltage changes, they can be too slow for very short but high voltage spikes. These spikes, which can be double or triple the normal battery voltage, can damage components like voltage regulators, capacitors, and FETs. The Spike Absorber steps in to absorb the energy of these spikes before they cause harm. Why buy FETtec products from Phaser FPV in Australia? We're the official FETtec reseller. Using the FETtec 6S Spike Absorber is easy. First, make sure to mount an electrolytic capacitor directly on top of the absorber as it's designed to work with it. Connect the absorber to your electrical power system where you expect voltage spikes, like in systems with brushless motors, ESCs, and LiPo batteries. When the voltage in the system tries to rise above the maximum operating voltage of 25.2V, the absorber will start absorbing the excess energy from the voltage spikes. As for maintenance, keep it clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or physical damage. If you notice any signs of wear or if it stops working as expected, it might be time to replace it. Also, always follow the safety guidelines when working with electrical systems. And if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to our team at Phaser FPV.
