Product Information

Are you in Australia and looking to buy CarbonX™ ABS+CF? Our CarbonX™ ABS+CF filament is crafted from high - flow ABS and premium high - modulus carbon fiber. It's a dream for 3D printing, offering easy printing, great strength and stiffness, excellent dimensional stability, and a top - notch surface finish. This high - performance carbon fiber reinforced ABS filament is perfect for those who want structural components with high modulus, superb surface quality, dimensional stability, light weight, and simple printing. It contains 15% High - Modulus Carbon Fiber and is made in the USA using premium Sabic MG - 94 ABS and high modulus carbon fiber. Benefits of CarbonX™ ABS+CF: - Create stiff, high - modulus, industrial - grade parts on many 3D printers today. - The carbon fiber reinforcement greatly boosts stiffness, modulus, and dimensional stability. - It's easier to print than most industrial - grade materials. - You can smooth parts with acetone vapors. - It has a higher melting point than PLA or PETG. Technical Data Sheet: Click HERE to open. Safety Data Sheet: Click HERE to open. Filament Specifications: 1.75mm +/- 0.05mm in diameter. Recommended Print Settings: - Extruder: 220 - 240°C. - Bed Temp: 100 - 110°C. - Nozzle: Use a hardened steel nozzle with a minimum diameter of 0.4mm. - Other: Ideal layer height is 60% of nozzle diameter. Don't print layers smaller than 0.2mm with this filament. - Bed Prep: Magigoo Bed Prep Adhesive gives the best results. - Heated Chamber: Recommended to reduce warping. - Supports: Water soluble AquaTek X1 USM is great for complex parts. - Drying Instructions: 80°C for 4 hours. Carbon fiber is made of 5 - 10 micrometer - wide fibers aligned along the material's axis, giving it high stiffness, tensile strength, heat tolerance, chemical resistance, low weight, and low thermal expansion. Reinforcing plastic with it creates a filament with the best of both worlds, ideal for lightweight and rigid applications like aerospace, civil engineering, military, and motorsports. This material is abrasive. Standard brass nozzles wear out quickly, so use a hardened steel nozzle for better results.

Using the CarbonX™ ABS+CF filament is straightforward. First, make sure to dry the filament at 80°C for 4 hours before use. When setting up your 3D printer, set the extruder temperature between 220 - 240°C and the bed temperature between 100 - 110°C. It's recommended to use a hardened steel nozzle with a minimum diameter of 0.4mm to avoid rapid wear. Apply Magigoo Bed Prep Adhesive on the bed for better adhesion. If you're printing complex parts, use water - soluble AquaTek X1 USM as support. For the best layer quality, set the layer height to 60% of the nozzle diameter, and don't go below 0.2mm. Here are some important notes. This filament is abrasive, so standard brass nozzles will wear out fast. Replace them with hardened steel nozzles for a smoother printing experience. A heated chamber can help reduce warping, so it's a good idea to use one if possible. To maintain the filament, keep it in a dry place. If it gets damp, just re - dry it at 80°C for 4 hours. Also, always refer to the Technical and Safety Data Sheets for more detailed information about the material.
