Product Information

Are you in Australia and eager to buy CarbonX™ ASA+CF? This amazing filament is crafted by compounding our well - loved ASA with high - modulus carbon fiber. It offers top - notch UV - stability, a sleek matte surface finish, and is a breeze to print. You'll also enjoy great strength, stiffness, and excellent dimensional stability. We've found our go - to material for printing structural parts! CarbonX™ ASA+CF is a high - performance carbon fiber reinforced ASA filament. It's perfect for those who want a structural component with high modulus, superb surface quality, dimensional stability, light weight, and easy printing. It contains 15% High - Modulus Carbon Fiber. Benefits of CarbonX™ ASA+CF include: ASA's UV - stability makes it great for outdoor use; it can create stiff, high - modulus, industrial - grade parts; it works on almost all desktop 3D printers; carbon fiber reinforcement greatly improves stiffness, modulus, and dimensional stability; it's easier to print than most industrial - grade materials; and the matte ASA and carbon fiber give it an excellent surface appearance. Filament diameter is 1.75mm +/- 0.05mm. Recommended print settings: Extruder at 235 - 255°C, Bed Temp at 90 - 110°C. We suggest a hardened steel nozzle with a minimum diameter of 0.4mm. Ideal layer height is 60% of nozzle diameter, and we don't recommend layers smaller than 0.2mm. Magigoo Bed Prep Adhesive works best for bed prep. A heated chamber is recommended to reduce warping. Water soluble AquaTek X1 USM is great for complex part supports. Dry it at 80°C for 4 hours. Note: This is an abrasive material. Standard brass nozzles wear out quickly. Use a hardened steel nozzle for better results.

Using CarbonX™ ASA+CF filament is straightforward. First, make sure to dry the filament at 80°C for 4 hours before use. Set your extruder temperature between 235 - 255°C and the bed temperature at 90 - 110°C. We recommend using a hardened steel nozzle with a minimum diameter of 0.4mm as this filament is abrasive and can quickly wear out standard brass nozzles. When setting the layer height, aim for 60% of the nozzle diameter and don't go smaller than 0.2mm. Apply Magigoo Bed Prep Adhesive on the bed for better adhesion. If your printer has a heated chamber, use it as it helps reduce warping. For complex parts, use the water - soluble AquaTek X1 USM as support material. When it comes to maintenance, always keep the filament in a dry place to prevent moisture absorption. And if you're not using the printer for a while, clean the nozzle to avoid clogs. Also, store the filament in an air - tight container to maintain its quality.
