Product Information

Are you in Australia and seeking to buy Polymaker PolyWood? The Specialty family offers unique filaments from Polymaker, opening up new 3D printing possibilities. PolyWood™ is a wood - like filament without real wood powder, eliminating the risk of nozzle clogs. It's made entirely of PLA using special foaming technology, looking and feeling just like wood. Note: Don't respool this filament. Pre - foamed PLA filaments are stiffer and more brittle than regular PLA, so ensure your filament guide system is smooth with minimal bends. Product Features: Jam Free technology enhances heat stability with a softening temperature over 140 °C. Stabilized Foaming™ technology creates a foam structure that endures the printing process. It's 35 - 40% lighter than regular PLA. Print Settings: Nozzle Temperature: 190˚C – 210˚C; Printing Speed: 35mm/s – 50mm/s; Bed Temperature: 25˚C – 60˚C; Bed Surface: Glass with glue, blue tape, BuilTak®; Cooling Fan: ON. PolyWood Properties: Tensile Strength: 23.2 ± 0.4 Mpa; Bending Strength: 52.9 ± 0.3 Mpa; Impact Strength: 2.1 ± 0.2 kJ/m2; Glass Transition Temperature: 62˚C; Vicat Softening Temperature: 60˚C; Melting Temperature: 151˚C.

Using this Polymaker PolyWood filament is easy. First, set your printer according to the recommended settings. Keep the nozzle temperature between 190˚C and 210˚C, printing speed at 35mm/s to 50mm/s, and bed temperature from 25˚C to 60˚C. Use a glass bed with glue, blue tape, or BuilTak®. And always have the cooling fan on. Remember, do not respool the filament as it's stiffer and more brittle than regular PLA. Make sure your filament guide system is smooth and has few bends. As for maintenance, keep the filament in a dry place to prevent moisture absorption. This will help maintain its quality and ensure good printing results.
