Product Information

Are you in Australia and looking to buy gradient silk filament? In August 2022, this brand-new filament arrived at our store! The Phaser 3D Colour Gradient Silk is like rainbow filaments, but it only shifts between two colours. Unlike most rainbow filaments, there are no abrupt colour changes here. Instead, the colours fade smoothly into each other, creating a beautiful gradient, which is how it got its name. Note: This filament isn't a split/co - extrusion like our Phaser3D Dual Colour. Silk PLAs usually produce amazing prints that are shiny and a bit see - through, giving them the look and feel of silk. You don't need to paint these prints because their natural look is so eye - catching. Generally, “silk” filaments are enhanced PLA filaments. Thanks to various additives, they have a glossy finish and mostly share the same pros and cons as PLA filaments. If a silk filament has a different base, it will have properties similar to that base material. Here, we focus on PLA - based silk filaments. Remember, print temperatures and speeds are just a guide. The exact settings vary for each machine. We suggest printing a temperature tower and doing stringing tests to find the best settings for you. Spool Net Weight: 1kg. Diameter: 1.75mm ± 0.17mm. Print Temperature: 190 - 220°C. Hot Bed Temperature: 0 - 50°C. Print Speed: 20 - 50mm/s. Browse more rainbow filaments, PLA filaments, and all filaments on our site.

Using this Phaser3D 2 - Color Gradient Silk PLA Filament is easy. First, make sure your 3D printer is clean and in good working condition. Insert the 1.75mm filament into your printer's extruder. Set the print temperature between 190 - 220°C and the hot bed temperature between 0 - 50°C. Start with a print speed of 20 - 50mm/s, but keep in mind these are just guidelines. You may need to adjust them according to your machine. Do a test print like a temperature tower and stringing tests to find the best settings. As for storage, keep the filament in a dry and cool place to maintain its quality. Don't expose it to high humidity as it can affect the printing result. If you notice any issues during printing, like clogs or uneven colour, stop the print and check the settings or the filament for damage.
